Shop Returns Policy

The Floral Shed is committed to offering rustic style products to our customers. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may exchange it for a gift of similar value. Gifts of greater worth may be exchanged for an additional cost. The returned product must be unopened and in resalable condition, as well as accompanied by a return reason.

Please note that all exchanges must be completed in-store at our Ngahinapouri location, 246 Reid Road, Ngahinapouri. Gift exchanges cannot be processed online. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause.

Bouquet, Arrangement or Foliage Orders & Botanical Quality

If you are dissatisfied with any of the floral or foliage arrangements you have purchased, please contact us immediately, along with your concerns. Please send an image of the full arrangement and any problems to: hello@thefloralshed.com for assessment.

Please note that because flowers are perishable, they cannot be returned for a full refund. However please inform us immediately and we may be able to work out a solution.

Deliveries

We offer personal deliveries on the next available business day after purchase, or by a specific date provided by you at the time of ordering. For same-day delivery requests, please contact us directly in advance, as we may be occupied with workshops, botanical tours, or shop events. We will make every effort to accommodate your delivery needs.

If your delivery address is outside our local drop-off area (local and rural Waikato), we will coordinate delivery using a courier service. Please note that courier deliveries may incur different shipping costs than those listed on our website. In such cases, we will contact you directly to confirm the additional charges.

Delivery is free for local and rural addresses within our service area. For deliveries to Hamilton and Cambridge, a delivery fee will be added to your total.

Privacy Policy

We acquire personal information from you only when you knowingly and voluntarily offer it (for example, when you place an order using our online store or when you email us). We only utilise information voluntarily provided for the intended reasons. We will request personal information from you, including your name and email address, when you place an order. When placing an order, the information you submit about yourself is kept strictly confidential. We share your information with third parties, such as couriers, payment processors, etc., so that your order can be processed efficiently. You may ask us to remove this information at any time.

All prices on our website are listed in New Zealand dollars.

Floral Shed Visitors

When visiting The Floral Shed, please be aware that we are situated in a rural area with natural, uneven terrain. Our property is home to free-range resident animals, including ducks, chickens, cats, and small dogs. Additionally, there is livestock on the surrounding farms.

To ensure the safety and well-being of all our visitors and animals, we request that you do not bring pets to our venue. The only exception is for guide or service dogs, but we ask that you notify us via email in advance to your visit so we can make necessary arrangements.

We are a family-friendly venue, and children are very welcome to visit us as well. However, please note that children must be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times. We also ask that you and your children respect our animals and refrain from feeding or chasing the ducks, chickens or dogs.

Workshops

If you are planning on doing a workshop with us, you will be required to read and accept the terms and conditions of our workshops.
Please take the time to read the following:

Payment: Payment is due in full at the time of registration to secure your spot in the workshop.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, please let us know as soon as possible. You will be credited for another workshop at another date and time. Or you may pass along your ticket to a friend if you wish.

Workshop Changes: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. If we need to cancel a workshop, we will refund your payment in full. If we need to reschedule a workshop, we will offer you the option to transfer your registration to the new date or receive a refund.

Liability Waiver: By attending the workshop, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify the workshop organizers, instructors, and partners from any liability, damage, or loss that may arise from your participation in the workshop.

Photography and Video: Photographs and/ or videos may be taken during the workshop for promotional purposes. By attending the workshop, you agree to allow us to use your likeness in promotional materials.

Health and Safety: You are responsible for your own health and safety during the workshop. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We will provide the necessary tools and materials needed for the workshop, but you should take care when handling sharp objects and working with flowers and plants. It is the responsibility of the participant to let The Floral Shed know of any dietary requirements you may have for the complimentary morning tea.

Customers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the workshop.

Code of Conduct: We ask all workshop participants to behave respectfully and professionally towards each other and the instructors. We reserve the right to remove any participant who violates this code of conduct.

Personalised Workshops

Each personalised workshop event is uniquely tailored based on availability, number of guests, and specific food requirements. Pricing is customized for each event, considering factors such as décor, guest count, workshop type, and materials needed. Standard pricing is not listed on our website due to the bespoke nature of each event. Workshop dates will be discussed upon inquiry. To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit is required once the date is confirmed. Full payment must be made at least one week before the event. Booking is confirmed only after the deposit payment has been received. A confirmation document will be issued upon receipt of the deposit, which will include all event details. The date is not secured until the deposit is paid.

Cancellations and Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, only the amount paid beyond the deposit will be refunded. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations by guests after the event date has been confirmed and secured by payment.

Early Arrival and Setup: Guests may arrive 15 minutes before the event start time to set up their tables. As a courtesy, please do not arrive more than 20 minutes before your scheduled booking time.

Additional Notes: We recommend discussing any specific requirements or preferences well in advance to ensure all details are accommodated. Any changes to the booking should be communicated as early as possible to allow for adjustments.

Workshop Gift Vouchers

When purchasing a workshop gift voucher from us online, please note the following terms:

No Refunds or Monetary Exchanges: Refunds or exchanges for the monetary value of the voucher are not permitted.

Class Enrollment: The recipient of the gift voucher can enrol in any of our available workshops corresponding to the voucher's value. If they prefer to join a more expensive workshop, they may pay the difference. The recipient must also agree to our workshop terms and conditions above.

Validity and Redemption: The gift voucher is redeemable within one year from the date of purchase. Recipients may choose to attend any current workshop available at the time of redemption or save the voucher for future classes. To redeem the voucher, the recipient should contact us via email and we will add them to the class of their choice.

Age Restrictions: The gift voucher is valid for individuals aged 16 and above. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be required to sign a consent form.

Additional Notes: If the gift voucher cannot be redeemed by the original recipient, it can be transferred to another individual for use if needed.
